Distinguishing mediocre writing from great writing is incredibly hard unless you actively practice both reading and writing as more than just basic transactional things for communication
I think a large number of people have *never* been able to distinguish good writing from bad. Terrible writing from great writing? Yes. But when the difference is more subtle, most people don't see it. And that "not quite bad enough" area is where AI lives.
Truth is, an increasing number of people can’t read, or understand what they just read. So not that surprising, to be honest.

crunch is even more devastating than just 'it is counterproductive in the moment', once hours return to normal it takes -weeks- for performance to return to the levels of a steady 40 hours
