Saw a "Democratic strategist" say "we have to earn people's trust back." Just mind-boggling that so many don't understand how this works.

Politicians have always been bought and sold in this country, but it feels extra wild for an entire party to openly be like “we are subservient to the richest man on earth” when class tensions are higher than they’ve been in decades and inequality is at record levels.
