Effect of low‐traffic roads on abundance of ground‐nesting birds in sub‐Arctic habitats
Roads are among the most widespread anthropogenic structures, and their presence can impact biodiversity in surrounding landscapes through disturbance and collision risk, particularly when traffic vo...

Based on @ark-ni.bsky.social data from 5,000+ children & teenagers in #NorthernIreland, my new report discusses their attitudes to potential #lynx & #wolf reintroductions to the UK/ROI

Fascinating study. Kids find Wolf much scarier than Lynx, but support for reintroducing Lynx only marginally higher than for Wolf; most are don’t know. Nature restoration a more familiar term than #Rewding 🌍

Sadly, we have seen a big increase in avian flu cases in the UK - particularly in waterfowl

Whilst the risk to the public remains assessed as very low, Government advice is not to touch any visibly sick or dead birds, and to keep pets away

California wildlife officials killed four gray wolves in the Sierra Valley after repeated cattle losses, despite the species’ protected status.

With at least 88 cattle killed and a new pack confirmed, the move highlights rising conflict as the state’s small wolf population slowly grows.
