Human population: 8.2 billion
Daily increase: about 227,000
Average annual increase: about 70 million

How insane and/or racist do you need to be to see that and think that "the notion that humanity ought to persist on this earth" is an uncommon belief, let alone a besieged one that must be revived?

This has always been the weirdest thing about the Trump As Master Negotiator narrative: He is a toddler who will do anything you want as long as you tell him he's the handsomest boy in the daycare

Susan Faludi talks about this in "Backlash" too: In the '80s tons of men were told 'we can't hire you because we have to hire a woman' even though companies weren't hiring very many women. Managers were just too chickenshit to tell men they weren't qualified.
this confirms something i have long suspected, which is that certain people are told that their professional and academic failures are because of “affirmative action” or “DEI” as a way to avoid difficult conversations about their mediocrity www.wsj.com/lifestyle/ca...
You Blamed DEI for Hurting Your Career. Now What?
For people who pin their failures on diversity, corporate America’s DEI retreat removes a barrier—or maybe an excuse.

When Trump does it: locker room talk
If straight guys are punished for it: cancel culture
If LGBTQ employees do it: purge them
UPDATE: Tulsi Gabbard confirms Chris Rufo’s tweet. Lots of ambiguity about who “they” are — all participants in these chat rooms? just those who said inappropriate things? what exactly is inappropriate? — and what “action” will be taken.

I think there are good odds that the Trump administration uses the retaliatory tariffs imposed by Canada on lumber as an excuse for large-scale private timber operations on federal lands. They may even try to privatize national parks, etc. at a significant level.
