Just made this - so tasty. Def a keeper. Swapped leeks for the onion to use up farm share veg. Next time, I will remove the meat from the bone for anything leftover and stir it into the sauce to make reheating easier.

Today I learned that the books in the Lucky Day display at my local library are not included in their inventory for holds.. so I walked out with a book I’m 117th in line for in the holds system… pleasant surprise on a lovely, rainy day perfect for reading!

Knitting friends, about to attempt socks. I am a klutz and previous DPN adventures resulted in cursing and chasing needles that slipped out of the knitting. I’m used to using two circs, but my fave needles do not come in sock sizes. I usually use wood because less slippy. Any recommendations?

Should have cut down all the thistles going to seed in my weedy yard this morning, couldn’t bring myself to do it. Sorry, neighbors. Spiderbro wisely decided this would be biting off way more than he could chew (bee flew away unharmed a little after this).

Morning walk: Later than usual so not a lot of bunnies, but moved a June beetle off a busy sidewalk and got hissed at for my troubles. Look how spiffy! I think it is a ten-lined, but it looks fuzzy up front, so maybe a long-haired?

There is a little starling in the neighborhood I walk through that is a perfect mimic! Clocked him going through 4-5 other bird calls fooling Merlin in addition to his little droid noises. I knew they can do that, but never heard one do it in the wild. We’ve dubbed him the bizarre-ling.

Just signed back up for a local farm share (with eggs! And fruit!) and started clearing the garden beds to plant a few things that are good performers for me and some herbs to round things out. I am do out of shape and the sun hates me, but I will get this done!
