Graza isn’t cheap, but worth it.

The olive oil oils are delicious, I like that the bottles are designed with reuse in mind, and the refills come in nitrogen, sealed, recyclable cans.

I’ll be getting these again .

theory: Trump didn’t move the inauguration inside because of the cold, he did it so there wouldn’t be a big picture of the audience on the National Mall and people wouldn’t be able to compare his audience to Obama’s again

Spaghetti pasta with mushroom, shallot, chile and soppressata, in a sauce of parmigiano reggiano, pecorino Romano and hazelnut oil (and a little goats butter, and some garlic toast). Lol.

Not sure what I’d call this aside from delicious. Maybe pasta giocattolo. 😆

One thing I find interesting about the echo chamber complaint is that an echo chamber just won a presidential election.

Put aside the convo of whether it’s “good” or “bad” for a moment. The far right has devoted enormous resources + time to building echo chambers & loathes spaces they don’t control
The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.

Our foreign policy of overthrowing governments and installing dictatorships is usually why our credibility is shaky to begin with. It’s why WE have lost credibility as the defenders of democracy. And now it’s the unchallenged use of US foreign policy *here*.

January 6 Didn’t Happen Just to America
Around the world, Trump allies are laying the groundwork to sow doubt in the democratic process and, if necessary, subvert elections.

Thr TikTok ban is a sham- we have far greater problems with our own platforms, not just TT because it’s “foreign”. When thr public says what they need or this is unacceptable to thr government / establishment- the correct response isn’t to ignore public and take away their voice.

OTD 1985: police assaulted the MOVE house in Philly with rounds of bullets, water cannons, and smoke grenades, and tear gas, and dropped a bomb on it. The city let the fire burn and the fire commissioner said that he could control the blaze. But the fire engulfed the house and spread to 60 others.

Much love and solidarity on Transgender Day of Visibility! In this time of trans moral panic and fascist reaction, it's vital we all stand together to say, "Yes, trans people belong here and deserve to thrive, and no, we will not budge one inch for your bullshit."

So nice to live in a country where kids learn the lesson that if you’re wealthy and white and have a fan base prone to violent thuggishness, you can do whatever the fuck you want. Quite the shining city on a hill we are nowadays
Trump has just posted photos of the daughter of the judge in his hush money trial. It is beyond the pale.

Whenever you see stories like this I hope you remember how much worse it would be if the girl was actually trans. The harm is not in accusing a cis girl of being trans; the harm is policing identities in a never-ending mission to force everyone to conform.
A UT man has been barred from attending school sport events after "belligerently" accusing a 17-year-old girl of being transgender--even after being told the student had submitted their birth certificate to comply with UT's ban on trans athletes.
