The good governance part of me is a bit sad.

The fuck around and find out part of me is ecstatic.

Trump and the GOP planned on Democrats taking this lying down.

Thats not happening and we have much more capacity to gerrymander since we don’t do it nearly to the same degree.

NEW: GoFundMe strictly bans fundraisers for “the legal defense of financial and violent crimes,” yet is currently running one “to help pay for any legal services” for the ICE agent who killed Renee Nicole Good. Its conflict is not even the least bit contestable.
GoFundMe Ignores Own Rules by Hosting a Legal-Defense Fund for the ICE Agent Who Killed Renee Good
The fundraiser for the ICE agent in the Renee Good killing has stayed online in seeming breach of GoFundMe’s own terms of service, prompting questions about selective enforcement.

This seems to strongly suggest that the incoming president of UVA doctored his CV to the edge of outright dishonesty, and that the most recent changes came months before Jim Ryan was forced, as if they were made in anticipation in Ryan’s removal. augustafreepress.com/news/vanishi...

Wow. Last used ~1934, inherent contempt would in effect bring Bondi to trial in the House & by majority vote empower the House to put her in jail. Far more effective than other options (criminal referral to her own DOJ or endless civil litigation), it'd be a huge bipartsan stand against the Admin.
BRENNAN: What are you going to do to force DOJ to comply?

MASSIE: The quickest way and most expeditious way to get justice for these victims is to bring inherent contempt against Pam Bondi. That doesn't require going through the courts. We're drafting that right now.

This is the Amy Coney Barrett confirmation of university president selections.

(You can tell they know this will be well-received, popular, and accepted as legitimate by the late-Friday-afternoon-before-Christmas email announcement.)

I wonder if Beardsley’s time ends up being short due to the Jay Jones led Attorney General’s office determining that the contract is problematic due to the board not being legally constituted. The BOV then has to follow that advice, Beardsley resigns for a settlement and keeps the Darden dean gig.
Absolutely embarrassing for everyone involved at UVA. Just, on the most basic level, does he not have friends?
