I do enjoy the fun quirk of Hideki Matsui holding this Yankees games record because they played 163 in 2003, in the middle of his long consecutive-games streak.
Context: Yanks had a game in Baltimore shortened to a tie due to Hurricane Isabel, and though it counted, they played a make-up anyway.
163 for Rafi!

Rafael Devers’ 2025 will be the 34th time in MLB history a player plays at least 163 games in a season

Others since 1990:

2008 Justin Morneau
2003 Hideki Matsui
1998 Albert Belle
1996 Todd Zeile
1996 Cal Ripken Jr.
Or 163 if you’re Rafael Devers!

Babe Ruth's record for career home runs was thought to be unbreakable. But that was before Hank Aaron came along.

On this date in 1974, Aaron hit his 715th home run to pass the Babe on the all-time list. ow.ly/tyKR50VwqJR
