Two-time NCAA triathlon champion Hannah Henry was struck and killed by a hit-and-run motorist last Sunday, according to @usatriathlon.bsky.social. What a terrible loss. Hoping that the driver can be apprehended and prosecuted.

40ears ago this summer Bruce Hornsby released his signature hit "The Way It Is." The song showcased Hornsby's prowess as both a songwriter & pianist and the melody was so catchy that many listeners didn't notice that it was about poverty & racism in America.

I was checking out the course for #WorldCrossCountry today, and ran into two course workers (left of picture) who were following up on a poisonous snake sighting. Apparently, Tally has 4 venonous snakes: Coral Snake, Cottonmouth, Copperhead, and Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake.

Update: At today's 62nd annual Asbury Park Polar Bear 5-K, 78 year-old Harry Nolan of Navesink completed the race for the 62nd consecutive time. His time was 30:11.
The race was founded, and is still organized, but the Shore Athletic Club.
