Update: Organnizers reported this morning that the 2025 #ManchesterRoadRace has nearly reached 10,000 entries. The one-loop, 4.737-mile #Thanksgiving race in Manchester, CT was founded in 1927.

Entries remain open until Nov. 25 at 11:59pm at manchesterroadrace.com

Molly Born of Puma Elite Running made her #halfmarathon debut at #bostonhalf in 1:10:11. She ran most of the race alone after fading back from the lead pack after 5K. She split 10-K in 32:56, and 10 miles in 53:10 (a PB). She finished 8th, moving up from 10th at the 10-K mark.

Another great race at the #TCSNYCMarathon for Susannah Scaroni who won the women's professional wheelchair division for the third time in 1:42:10. She won $50,000 in prize money.

"It feels incredible," said Scaroni, who pushed to her fastest time in the New York course."

ICYMI - Here are the elite women and men scheduled to run the #AbbottDash5K on Saturday, November 1. The race, which starts in front of the #UnitedNations, uses the #TCSNYCMarathon finish line in #CentralPark. It's an international race this year, not the USATF championships.

The #ManchesterRoadRace in Connecticut (November) and the AJ Bell Great Manchester Run in the UK (May) have signed an agreement.

The top USA finishers at the U.S. race will be invited to the U.K. event, and the top GBR finishers at the U.K. race will be invited to the U.S. race.

Grandma's Marathon officials reported last night that the Garry Bjorklund Half-Marathon sold out at 7000 entries in just 75 minutes, while the William A. Irvin 5K sold out at 1500 entries in 106 minutes

I think Nina Englehard's double-gold performance at the World Mountain Running Championships did not get the attention it deserved. She won the Classic 14-K (up and down) by nearly 2 minutes!

Update: On of the most interesting streaks in running was broken today.

Marisa Sutera Strange, 62, had won the Dutchess County Classic 5-K in Wappingers, NY, 30 times (an incredible 24 in a row).

Today, she finished 6th.

A great effort by Sabastian Sawe today at the #BerlinMarathon. Despite the warm, humid and sunny conditions, he went through halfway under WR pace (1:00:16) before finishing in 2:02:16, fully 4 minutes ahead of 2nd place Akira Akasaki of Japan.

Ednah Kurgat and Anthony Rotich of the U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program were the winners of Saturday's hilly #CowHarbor10K in Northport, NY in 28:27 and 32:11, respectively. Biruktayit Degefa was the women's runner-up.
