"Smart beta" is one of those expressions that generally are very good predictors of product generating actual negative alpha from my experience.
Apparently underperforming by 200bps/year is considered success in Smart Beta land

Can't wait for dumb beta

He is probably the most well-spoken Russian tech-adjecent guy who writes on this ("Chyna"'s perception by the "Westerners" and how "meritocracy" should actually work).
And I kinda agree with 80-90% of written in his post.

They're very high IQ people who speak almost perfect English thus their more creative types simply blend into Anglosphere.
To make your "local culture" work you either need cultural separation/segregation (Japan) or enough imperialism to have large language/culture spheres (Russian/Spanish case)
huh I'd never thought about this but Germany's modern cultural output really is strikingly low compared to its size and wealth.

Well, that is a normal and sane democratic leadership when a large part of your base has 90 IQ
Eric Adams is amazing because when he won every media person was leaping over each to go “this is the normal sane leadership that the political left doesn’t understand normal sane Americans crave” and then every day since that Eric Adams has been like “Leprechauns are real and I’m going to cook one”

Not accepting Trump's deal was very retarded on Putin's part. A relatively easy way out ditched in favor of grandiose dreams that he will likely not attain.
Putin circa 2008 would have taken Trump on his offer but modern version is too delulu.

Real Pros choose C to have a life supply of buuzs and khinkalis.
Uyghur, Uzbek, Ukranian, Georgian general Balkan food is a W.
For the rest of your life, you can only eat food from one of these regions. Which do you choose?

Yeah, this is another short signal - management is getting desperate.

I was told by some very smart (no irony in this btw) people on this website that higher female higher education enrollment was great and men were "failing".
Would they now reconsider the initial assessment?

I never made any serious proclamations about "leaving nazi hellhole" but did dislike the direction change to some degree.
It's wild to see the most vigorous Bluesky cheerleaders being back to X to receive their daily dose of humiliation from right-wing chuds.
Where are the principles at?

But general "affordability" means nothing.
Structurally economy and consumption changed a lot over last 40 years across the globe.
People specifically want affordable housing in capitals/megacities.
We are fighting the last war with the frequent mythologizing -- especially in left-liberal circles -- about the 'affordability' crisis

Given demographics, immigration trends, and the fact that home price growth ~=NGDP growth in an economic boom, we are looking at over, not under, supply
really feels like housing affordability is one of the most important political issues of our time, affecting nearly every aspect of our lives, and everyday our mainstream political discourse is about whether sour cream is woke or not

That leverage was money that Trump now has a plenty from his new MENA sponsorts.
And unlike Musk they clearly align with him ideologically
Gentlemen, you forget the wildcard that the MAGA henchmen have always hated Musk but felt there was some reason that Musk had major leverage over Trump. 👀

This isn't a normal Musk meltdown. He doesn't give a shit about deficits or anything else that doesn't affect him. This is part ego, but I also think the enormous pressure of Tesla sales imploding combined with the coming robotaxi clown show is pushing him over the edge.

Israel is not doing any genocide to Palestinians per se, Hamas is an 80 IQ murderous terror org and the majority of pro-Palestinian protestors in the West (TM) are just mentally ill.
That said Serbs have been bombed to shit precisely for what Israel is doing now - ie "soft" ethnic cleansing.

The whole point of Global Monotheist Religions is precisely about "destroying indigenous cultures".
The differences in how various branches of Islam, Christianity and Buddhism accomplish this are really cosmetic and superficial at the end of the day.
Being part of a missionary order that has worked for centuries to destroy Indigenous cultures and makes Indigenous people feel bad about themselves for being 'heathens' is not a good look for Pope Leo XIV or anyone else.

You're a Tranny man.
Stancil is one of the few remaining "straight dudes" still willing to defend your type of mental illness before Normies.
You're basically confirming to everyone that Rightoids are correct about your kind.

If energy reserve discovery makes life in your country shittier it means it was a very shit country to begin with.
Might as well pack it up and invite colonizers to run the place at least semic-completently.

Seems like we will realize how important Mnuchin and Cohn have been in preventing full blown econ disaster during Trump's first term.

That's because men are still expected to pursue positive economic value choices?
What would be the percentage of degrees women obtain that actually carry higher job prospect potential and "pay off" when taking debt into account?
The gender skew on deadweight edu debts is towards females.

Visa and Mastercard are Big Shorts (TM) BTW if the present trends continue.
More and more states will want to avoid having any dependance on US in financial settlements and communication.

Now that they have banned Katanas (lol) in UK with all this aplomb you can check out very Serious and Smart Leftist objections to my simple point (the FSB Nazi accusals are the best ofc).
Reminder: don't be a coward and try facing reality.
No, he is right. There will just be knives instead of guns. UK is a good example.

It's giving Elon's whiny posts circa 2017 "production hell" (caused by his own idiotic insistence on some miracle giga automation of production lines).
He was also very sentimental and openly reminscent of the days gone.
Difference is Musk was able to whigle out and I don't think that Sam can.
Sam Altman has never been more washed. Green text posting to whine about how nobody is impressed by his unimpressive unsustainable software. Too big to be acquired, too shitty to go public, unprofitable forever, OpenAI, I live for this shit

A bit of an unfair comparison as $TSLA was in batshit insane bubble territory and the end of last year as some kinda "Trump Nepotism Trade" stock but still an interesting case of price reverting somewhat to fundamentals for both stocks.
As shown by this chart from @bloomberg.com, Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD hasn't just surpassed Tesla in vehicle sales — the firm's stock price has significantly outperformed Tesla's since the start of 2025.
