Listen, protest however you like. It’s none of my business. But I do immediately think you’re a Nazi if you are carrying the American flag.

Social media and crowdfunding have turned cartoonists into small business tyrants who are unable to show solidarity for workers or other cartoonists.
Anyone have a particularly hot comic take?

The act of mass shooting is inherently radical right wing behavior. I don’t need to dissect a manifesto or a profile to know that. Studying a shooter’s politics feels like a nation wide effort to cope with the fact that we’ve given up on any actual gun control policy coming to pass.

I often think of the time some guy tried to run over me and a bunch of protesters outside an ice facility back in 2019. It was clear to me that they would have no issues with killing peaceful protesters. It kinda shifted my mentality on what was actually necessary to stop them.

My phone is basically nothing but a spam machine at this point. This is what I’m paying for.

let it be known that my position on Bret's right to free speech has never changed.
I will not link to it. I just want to reiterate that thousands of books have been banned by the right. And American Dirt sold millions of copies.

“Ooh, can you put it on speaker? I want to hear 911 laugh at you.”
A man in Washington, DC, plays the Imperial March from Star Wars while following patrolling soldiers. One of the soldiers threatens to call the police.

There’s like a 100% overlap on the venn diagram of liberals who ignore genocide and liberals who defend Charlie Kirk, so no surprises on my end.
I learned a lot about some folks this week. Whew.

Nineteen years ago I dropped out of art school, moved back home, and started working 3rd shift at a local grocery store.
The art school I went to treated creative community like a country club.

Listen, it wouldn’t be funny if the guy spent his entire adult life saying “actually I think gun violence is bad” but, well…

Two things I care more about than I care to admit have combined to make the worst simulacrum of a comic and/or game piece of all time. I’m genuinely embarrassed for everyone involved.
Why does anybody want this stuff? There’s good art being made all the time. Why this?!

Glenn’s book is really great. If you have any interest in making comics, reading comics, and/or print technology then you should definitely check it out!
The last of the 2024 How Comics Were Made are now off—sold as an add-on signed edition to folks who backed my Six Centuries book.

However, if you’d like a signed copy of the 2025 How Comics Are Made—the newer, hardcover bookstore edition, follow this link! glog.glennf.com/hcwm-store/h...

Ai is constantly being marketed as neutral or a force of nature, or inevitable. It’s none of those things
"AI IS JUST A TOOL, ITS MORALLY NEUTRAL AND BEING USED BAD!"

No, it isn't. It can't function without mass theft and pollution. There's nothing about generative AI that is "morally neutral".

It's such a stupid argument that clearly only serves to bandage the conscious of thieves.
