Six weeks out from the government funding deadline, many Senate Democrats are in the process of convincing themselves they have no choice but to cave. One of their main rationales will be a bad read of mostly irrelevant history. In truth they’re just scared of the unknown.

I said my main goal of this trip was to meet with Kilmar. Tonight I had that chance. I have called his wife, Jennifer, to pass along his message of love. I look forward to providing a full update upon my return.

If you're a reporter in a White House press briefing as the spokesperson for the government asserts flatly that Kilmar Abrego Garcia is a member of the MS-13 gang who's guilty of human trafficking and you sit there silently without shouting out "PROVE IT!" I'd like to invite you to go fuck yourself.

every person involved in this needs to be in prison

Unconstitutional. Appropriations bills are laws. If the president is not bound by them, he can make laws by fiat and is acting like a dictator. No Democrat can vote for any appropriations or debt ceiling bill while this is happening.

You know why these guys are so willing to flagrantly and openly break the law? Because they’ve been doing it for years, testing the waters, seeing what they could get away with—and they got away with all of it. This is the consequence of no consequences and an injustice system.

One thing I noticed in the House today was that Rs spiked the football more than you’d ever seen in a Jan 6 EV session.

Interrupting Harris to cheer for Trump, Emmer mockingly lifting his hands in prayer when the Walz loss number was announced.
one of the most striking things about republicans these days is they are the biggest fucking sore winners on the planet
The husband of Republican senator Deb Fischer just refused to shake hands or make eye contact with Vice President Harris.

Pretty much how I feel. They slow-rolled everything, afraid of stepping on toes, and now we turn over the government to the very people who tried to overturn their loss four years ago. What a joke.
Every Republican member of Congress who voted to overturn the election and every member of the Trump administration should have been detained without bail before the sun set on Inauguration Day and held on gag order until their speedy trials were complete. Because they weren’t, here we are now.
Four years ago right now. This was our evacuation team that got us out of the Capitol. When they knocked on our hiding place door, they had a code word & we had a response word so we knew they were actual USCP. You can see them holding back rioters. The “Join Us!” chant to cops was stomach turning.
