Nvidia did get the switch 2, but they are severely hampered by not having a license to produce x86 CPUs, the main instruction set used by cpus since the 70's, or their own internal CPU division like AMD. They could pair up with Intel but it has to deal with the bloat of deals between big companies.

Nvidia still technically has the name brand superior product in the GPU space but AMD is catching up, and game support for AMD is basically mandatory because every xbox and playstation uses a semi-custom AMD chip. And now the steam machine is the same.
