Keeper was okay. A really awkward exposition dump and a few bafflingly goofy shots hold it back a lot. It was well made and creepy, and at times even terrifying.

A ★★★ review of Keeper (2025)
The “and now I’m going to explain the plot of this movie” scene really killed it for me

It really feels trapped, it doesn't know whether it's trying to match the tone of the original Stephen King book or the meathead Arnold movie and it splits the difference unsatisfyingly

something I've been thinking about if/when we retake power is we're really going to need to shock & awe the elites with accountability. hit em hard and fast. gotta break the entire system and don't give it time to regroup.
Important to understand the Epstein stuff and the fascism and the corruption are, in a lot of ways, really all the same story from different angles: powerful men who can and do abuse vulnerable people around them because they can, and because systems of elite accountability catastrophically failed

My wife, who doesn’t really play games and doesn’t care about Dragonball at all, asked if we could play FighterZ last night, and we ended up playing for three hours. She even played some on her own today

Finally watched Dragonball Daima. Not really what I want from Dragonball, but it was fun. Short and sweet, great animation, decent fights, and some long awaited moments. I also liked some of the lore expansions, I always thought Dabura was interesting.

I thought Frankenstein was good. Obviously the story was good and the performances were as well. But man, I did not like the way it looked, or the music. I know this seems like an easy criticism, but it just looked very Netflix-y to me.
