Now that Wall Street correctly believes, in light of his tariffs, that Trump is insane, is it really going to look with favor upon the law firms that shamelessly caved to him?

#AcademicSky As reported by a UCLA prof: the faculty senate at Rutgers took up the attached mutual defense resolution. Their unions (full time faculty, grad workers, post docs + adjunct faculty) voted to endorse it. Michigan & Northwestern looking into it too.

This is a bigger issue than people realize. Not just jobs lost. But their families losing benefits. Landlords losing tenants. Cities and towns losing revenue. This is how recessions start

Ready Fire Aim is no way to govern.
More accurate, fewer words;

"There are plenty of contractors going under".

A friend furloughed 75% of staff (furlough w/paying for health insurance for three months), 50% exec pay cut, 25% rest of staff to keep as many people w/salary.

PS: Wasn't 18F a government office, not a contractor.

Continuing story, how many lives/wrecked bodies went into what Elon called the "wood chipper" when he illegally shut down USAID. Crimes are one thing. But Elon's body count will cry out down through the ages.
U.S.-funded projects worldwide, including those providing lifesaving care for millions of people in countries such as Sudan and South Africa, received termination notices on Thursday sending shockwaves across the global aid community.

Mother jones actually broke this story. The Washington Post failed to mention that, and in fact, took credit for the scoop.
SCOOP: Kash Patel took $25,000 from a production company with ties to Russia propaganda activity to appear in an anti-FBI docuseries. He did not respond to questions about this.

As often as people have been ripped off or scammed, why would ANYONE in their right mind think it's a good idea to eliminate the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau?

Any politician who thinks it's OK needs to fucking resign.

No one's blaming Democrats for causing this crisis, but yes, many of them are failing to meet this moment.

One Democratic senator could bring the chamber to a halt. House Dems can go to fed agencies being gutted by Musk with cameras in tow. Governors can push back. State AGs can bring lawsuits.
