Amazing news!!
Fantastic news! Religious extremists are coming for our rights and the more we can entrench and cement human freedoms into law the better! I’m thinking right now of humanist campaigners like Diane Munday who, now in her 90s, started this campaign over 60 years ago. humanists.uk/2025/06/17/b...

Kemi Badenoch has forced us into calling for a national inquiry into grooming gangs. She did this by not mentioning a national inquiry once while she was Minister for Women and Equality for a government that went 14 years without calling for an inquiry.

🔄 One disabled person described benefit threats as "getting a regular death threat every week" - because losing benefits means homelessness and death. No civilized society should terrorize its most vulnerable citizens. Lobby if you possibly can. #WelfareNotWarfare #TakingThePip

Interesting reading #PIP
DWP response to this FOI (not mine) shows why claimants cannot trust decisions made by DWP decision makers. Look at the success rates for appeals.

"Student accommodation maintenance teams made a difference for one student, and outside of this research I’ve heard many stories of students whose experience has been transformed by housekeepers or the reception team. Do we recognise and encourage this enough?"

No. No we do not.

Here's Lizzi speaking on Thursday about the need to legally recognise humanist marriage in England and Wales. #Humanists2025 delegates, make sure you fill in your 'humanist marriage postcards' addressed to the Justice Secretary this weekend.

Fascinating to hear Will's insights into how the drive for status can fuel the adoption of conspiracy theories, illustrating how human desire to belong, feel important, or to be seen as 'in the know' can override reason. This can explain deep investment in fringe ideas, says Will. #Humanists2025
