Got inspired and finally wrote down a timeline of important events for Azem! I meant to do it for both of them but I got carried away with Azem's side of things, though it still works generally for Roving; when inspiration strikes again I'll do another for him
I don't really answer these, but it's funny in that my main isn't a character at all; he's a bun that I think looks cool but is pretty much a self-insert at best. Roving exists as an alt that I think is in post-HW atm? but I haven't gotten around to getting him current

I don't really answer these, but it's funny in that my main isn't a character at all; he's a bun that I think looks cool but is pretty much a self-insert at best. Roving exists as an alt that I think is in post-HW atm? but I haven't gotten around to getting him current
It constantly bothers me, but I have very little idea of who Roving's wife is, what she looks like, how they got together, etc. I can never muster the inspiration for her because she honestly doesn't really matter to the present story beyond that she exists back home.

It constantly bothers me, but I have very little idea of who Roving's wife is, what she looks like, how they got together, etc. I can never muster the inspiration for her because she honestly doesn't really matter to the present story beyond that she exists back home.

If we're talking pain, oh boy we're talking Azem again! definitely it's Azem gaining emotions/empathy and realizing just how awful of a person he was in the unsundered world and how much it affected Emet/Hades; that realization shapes so much of how he interacts with Roving/the world in the present

I feel almost obligated to respond with how Roving and Azem are, lol
If it's pre-ShB, then it gets kinda sketchy since at that point Azem is still trying to convince himself he's in the right for trying to take over Roving's body, while dealing with the emotions gained from the DRK bleedover (1/2)

Curiosity at first, but as the initial ideas for Roving and Azem joined together, they basically built themselves up around each other with little input from me

It's hard to get Roving angry in the first place, but for most things it's maximum disappointed father energy, but for real serious things definitely silent rage
For Azem, back when he had his own body to express it, he'd just become mean, approaching cruel to everyone around him

Roving grew up in a remote mountain village, so money wasn't really something that predicated stability, instead being something you held onto to make trading easier; as such, I'd say Roving is pretty decent at handling it since he doesn't feel much need to hoard it, nor spend it needlessly

Not sure if this counts, but if Roving wasn't already married there would've been a real good chance after the events of HW that he and Edmont woulda gotten close enough to hook up in one form or another. As it is, they see each other as brothers in all but blood
'Just a job' feels a bit too impersonal, but Roving I think definitely stayed closer to the mentor role than that of a friend, especially since this was as much a vacation for him as it was a job... at least until the stuff with S9 got serious enough that he had reason to step up beyond that role

'Just a job' feels a bit too impersonal, but Roving I think definitely stayed closer to the mentor role than that of a friend, especially since this was as much a vacation for him as it was a job... at least until the stuff with S9 got serious enough that he had reason to step up beyond that role
As a farmer by origin, Roving ate a lot of simple or home-made affair, and by and large still prefers such, finding higher class stuff too fancy and divorced from what it was made from; he doesn't hate it and will eat it, but it's not his favorite. And of course, he ate plenty of veggies!

funny this should come up as a qotd, as Roving affecting Azem is a major plot point due to the DRK personality bleed/merge being what causes Azem to actually gain empathy and stop being a sociopath, leading to his reconciliation with Roving and overall redemption (and a boatload of regret and pain)
Roving prefers more quiet, personal affairs with family, or the Scions after becoming close with them; unfortunately, being the WoL, his birthday did not stay secret for long, and large celebrations get held for it even if he tries his best to hide away for them

Roving is definitely the former, and reformed/post-DRK Azem is absolutely the latter, at least when it comes to Roving and those he cares about. Unsundered Azem is/was a twist on the latter, instead "I'll burn the world down for myself"
