This Te Pati Māori situation is extremely disappointing when there is so much more they need to put their energy into now. Find common ground and pack the egos away. FGS.

Oh gee imagine that?! It ain’t just the zoomers who find no value in traditional news sources like the herald because the writers write for their readership and they’re petty as. Ofc the comments are yikes worthy.
The significant majority of New Zealanders favour stronger action on climate change, but you certainly wouldn't think that from reading the comments in the NZ Herald. yikes.

Love hearing the heaps of praise for a man murdered by a woman but no pause to ask what did he might have done to her. Have we not learned that people can be exemplary in public and still treat those closest to them badly?

💯 HDPA is a traitor along with anyone else who would say such a thing. No one ever invites it, incites it or deserves it. EVER
Ms Z having been so badly treated initially by McSkimming, then in the cover up by his colleagues, don't deserve to now get the full treatment by HDPA. I implore the media of Aotearoa to collectively push back on HDPA victim blaming, if this really a tipping point in our culture, let it be #NZPol

Best description ever!! “Fellow Greens MP Francisco Hernandez decribed the bill as a "wet fart of a dying government that's run out of ideas, that's incapable of doing what everyday New Zealanders want". But srsly 99% of submissions opposed this and yet…

Yeah baby! The Zoomers have done it and I hope the Republicans are quaking.
Democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani won the New York City mayoral race on Tuesday, marking a historic win for the left over a high-powered, moneyed coalition of establishment forces that came together in hopes of defeating him.

Oi.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene: "I wouldn't vote for Andrew Cuomo...All these women came out with these accusations against him which I found pretty disgusting. And then the Covid lockdowns and all the people's parents and grandparents who died in nursing homes."

Kiwis have this cute quirk where they start answering a question with “Look” or variations of (oh look…/ well look…) Where did it come from!? I was gone a long time but I don’t remember this from my young life. It’s not somethjng you hear in other countries…unless they mean it literally. 👀

Loving listening to the landlords losing their 💩about CGT. The property as investment proliferation in this country has been out of control and now hamstrings government from fiscal options we need. And maintains inequity and the bank rate refixing cycle. All unproductive. Rip off the bandaid!

We wonder why the news is so negative but the most read article on the BBC website today is about prince Andrew’s downfall. Disappointing but appears true that the majority of us love a good car crash to gawk at.

The original hippies…and many didn’t sell out.
I will call out anyone who makes generalisations about ‘boomers’ and their affiliation to the Right. We were the generation at the vanguard of the fight against racism, sexism, protested against Vietnam. There are multitudes of us who still hold those views and are horrified by what is happening

FGS please tell me Drump could not win the Nobel Peace Prize for his involvement in the Gaza ceasefire. He seeks loyalty to be called up later, and keeps his enemies close. There is nothing peaceful here. It’s pure chess games with sinister motives. Look how he treats his own citizens!? No prize!!

#nzpol The Reserve Bank has cut the official cash rate by 0.5%. That sounds great. But banks only cut interest rates that much when the economy is in trouble - and not when things are going well. This cut is a sign of economic weakness, not strength. A 😄🧵

Good. I am only ten years back into life here but this NAF govmt seem to be a new low. And this “it’s the Labour Government’s doing; be mad at them” messaging is BS at this point in their term.
People I know living in Remuera are talking about this being a one term government. Old style Tories talking about booting them out for the economic damage they've done. #NZPolitics

Even Winnie’s.
Smashing MPs windows is a dick move, some of the glass got on Kobe the dog and that is unforgiveable! Throw mud, throw Lamingtons, throw dildos but don't throw rocks. Also personally think stalking their house is a step too far, their office is personal enough #NZPol
