I’m so sick of seeing Farage and co on TV all the bloody time. They now know that if thy hold a press conference on any day ending in a ‘y’, they will be given endless coverage and broadcasting hours. All this for a party that could fit all of its MPs into a hatchback car.

Thanks for the many shares and warm responses to this piece today.

I think we need to hear more from asylum seekers to counter the myths and lies being deliberately spread about them
We escaped war and torture but now we feel unsafe in Britain
Special report: Amid protests and rising aggression towards asylum seekers across the country, we spoke to those being targeted

And, I feel this is kind of important to mention, when this government seems more concerned about condemning people protesting a genocide than the people carrying out the genocide I would, personally, say, we have a somewhat bigger issue than people holding up placards in the street.

yet more proof that the regional press is so often the place to go for balanced reporting covering more than one side of a story
I’ve been frustrated to see so much of the ongoing story about asylum seekers and the protests against them covered without hearing from those seeking asylum and now being met with hostility and hatred

I set out to speak to those directly affected to find out about the impact this is having 👇

Well, at least these Nazis aren't terrorists like the people who think that genocide is bad, and they have legitimate concerns which Labour MPs understand

This is a popular argument among people entirely ignorant of genocide scholarship & international law. It seems unlikely that Netanyahu is one of those people.
Netanyahu responds to genocide accusations: "As Ambassador Huckabee said, if we're practicing genocide we're surely doing a very bad job of it, because we could've basically eliminated the entire population of Gaza, but we went the other direction."

GHF-run ‘aid’ sites are sites of “orchestrated killing and dehumanisation.”

“In MSF’s nearly 54 years of operations, rarely have we seen such levels of systematic violence against unarmed civilians.”

I encourage anyone who has doubts about vaccines to walk through a 19th Century graveyard and look at the ages of the deceased. As well as a shocking number of children, you'll also see way too many women of child bearing age.
“We take vaccines so for granted in the United States” ...“Women in the developing world know the power of [vaccines]. They will walk 10 kilometers in the heat with their child and line up to get a vaccine because they have seen death.”

interesting to see how much more coverage here we're getting of a chant at a music festival than the IDF being ordered to shoot and murder people in Gaza who are seeking aid!
IDF soldiers have now themselves admitted they have been ordered to murder aid-seekers in Gaza.

Truly an atrocity built on atrocity.

Why are the other 277 Labour MPs ok with cutting benefits to the disabled?

IMO, major fashion brands and designers who use US facilities should recognize the skilled workers who produce their garments, including undocumented ones. They are not always directly responsible for these workers' pay. But they should speak up in a time of need.

Some of these workers are undocumented. Since fashion brands have benefited from undocumented labor — even if they are not always directly responsible for their pay — I think they should speak up for these workers.

I think the public can mostly be trusted to work out whether throwing paint is terrorism or not, and anyone insisting it is comes off like a bit of a daft squealing cunt. And that’s *without* getting into the whole thing about facilitating the genocide of two million civilians.

Punish Labour MPs for standing against cuts to disability support? They are the only ones doing the right thing. This government knows these cuts will cause immeasurable harm, put more people out of work and lead to loss of life. Any decent MPs should oppose them.
