I volunteer w/a safe space organization for queer teenagers. It has been an extremely hard day for our trans students. If you could spare a thought, prayer, or good vibe for them tonight, they really need it. The cruelty of this decision is a lot to process. Their supportive families need care, too.

Truth. At first I was perplexed watching the lack of coordinated step yesterday. Then I started grinning cuz *this* parade was not going to be the imitation of North Korea's lock-step marching extravaganza trump thought he was going to get.
I promise y’all: marching in step is quite easy. Nothing difficult about it. That bad marching was intentional. I guarantee it.

I agree with you. I don’t think protesters should have confronted the marines or National Guard. It wasn’t their choice to be there.

As a veteran, can I say, blame the President for deploying the Marines and federalizing the National Guard.
Don't blame the Marines for being deployed or the Guard for being federalized.
This isn't a job. You can't just say no or quit. You get court-martialed and sent to Leavenworth.
