It’s like a nice tip for the valet using someone else’s wallet.
Trump on Air Traffic Controllers: The one’s that stayed, I'm sending them a $10,000 bonus.

Ingraham: Where is that money coming from?

Trump: I don't know.

Yeah, the people who plastered “the shutdown is the Democrats’ fault” on every government website are eager to dig into some good faith negotiations next month.

“Lucy made it clear: she wasn’t going to hold the football until I promised to kick it.”
Sen. Angus King on why Democrats caved: "It wasn't working."

8 Democratic Senators signaled that the shutdown wasn’t extraordinary Republican evil and incompetence, just typical Washington gridlock that could be settled for nothing.

“Despite us not fighting now, the fight continues! For you guys! And we are with you! Not literally, of course, we’ve actually just voted for a ton of new security for ourselves but…[fist raise]”
Schumer: "However this vote turns out, this fight will and must continue. Democrats must fight."

Documentation of erasure is so important, and there should be a progressive think tank funded to track “Stuff we can fix immediately and not quietly.”
1/ The US Government has quietly removed a memorial to Black soldiers who died in World War II from the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, South Limburg. The move follows a complaint from the right-wing Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission. ⬇️

Trump knows his followers live vicariously through him, but his lifestyle porn goes down easier when he’s coasting on his predecessor’s economy.

When he’s driven up prices and wrecked the safety net, I’m not sure people are so excited about his new bathroom or his name on a football stadium.

"Toyota... did you hear this? Toyota has just cut all the prices of their cars by many hundreds, in some case thousands of dollars. They're calling it a 'Thon,' which I think is Japanese for 'Trump.' You're welcome."

Coney-Barrett: Destroying women’s rights is super-feminism, actually.
This is so embarrassing, man. The six most influential Republicans in the country with the unreviewable power to make the law whatever they want, patting each other on the back for their courage. Butter-soft.

Jack isn't some wise techno-monk. He's just an awkward nerd who got rich on mobile payment apps and crypto, was lucky to live through an era of 0% interest rates, and really likes white supremacists.

Has Mamdani already driven out the least-qualified fire chief in the history of New York?

This Adams crony owns “one of the largest security and janitorial service companies” in Israel; he was never a firefighter or emergency response official…but he liked chasing fire trucks when he was a kid.
