Festvortrag bei der 60ten Geburtstagsfeier der RUB von Prof. Dr. Aladin El-Mafaalani @mafaalani.bsky.social. RUB ist ein Boomer! In diesem Jahr werden doppelt so viele Menschen 60 als 6 (dabei ist der Anteil der Menschen mit Migrationsgeschichte unter Rentnern deutlich geringer).

Also: Lass uns ein leistungsfreundlicheres Klima schaffen! Da bin ich sofort dafür! Aber dann sollten wir das, was wirklich die Gesellschaft weiterbringt, als Leistung bezeichnen. Und das, was mit sehr wenig Arbeit ein hohes Einkommen ermöglicht, als Leistungsfeindlichkeit.

We are not in the time of fixing problems. We are in the time of breaking solutions.
I honestly don’t see why air filters in every single classroom that doesn’t have effective air filtration in the architecture isn’t a no-brainer at this point.

Science is, in essence, designed to separate the true from the false.
Understanding how falsehoods spread is key to the scientific endeavor. It is not a violation of free speech to be proven wrong.
