I just cancelled my trip to Canada because the AFP couldn’t do a national police check - still waiting after 13 days - to reveal I have zero record. Last time I went (2019) it took 2 days. Now it’s 6-8 weeks. Canada wouldn’t approve my visa without it. Thousands $ gone. Fucking useless

The Govt has approved one of the biggest fossil fuel projects in our history

The NW Shelf Extension threatens to destroy 47,000 yr old petroglyphs & will drive more extreme bushfires, droughts & floods. This isn’t leadership- it’s a betrayal of our future

Beautiful
One of the saddest lessons of history is this:

If we've been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle.

We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth.

The bamboozle has captured
us.

WARNER: Can you explain how it helps natl security or our trade balance - I loved your fancy Greek formula which was bad math on steroids - how with a trade surplus Australia got hit with a 10% tariff as well?

GREER: Australia has the lowest rate available

WARNER: We have a trade surplus!

Over the last four years, multinational gas companies made $170 billion exporting gas they got for free.

It's a fantastic deal for Big Gas, and a terrible deal for Australians.

Time to fix this. Add your name > theaus.in/fix_gas_expo...

Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has confirmed what Australia Institute research has long shown – there is no gas supply shortage in Australia.

A reminder:

- Australia collects more revenue from HECS than the PRRT
- Nurses pay more tax than oil and gas companies
- Big gas is taking the piss
Coalition, independents and Greens all agree: There is no gas supply shortage in Australia

Each and every person who normalized the idea that this is a "public square" and therefore all people have an open invitation to be an ass in the replies of strangers clearly never learned how to respect anyone but themselves.
