And now it’s time for Republicans to do what both parties have done in every prior shutdown: NEGOTIATE to re-open the government. Dems are standing by and their goal is simple: an extension of tax credits that will keep healthcare costs from skyrocketing.
We’re waking up in a different country this morning — a country using the tools of our (imperfect) democracy to fight back against authoritarianism.
