Trump on SNAP: "Our country has to remain very liquid because problems, catastrophes, wars -- it could be anything. We have to remain liquid. We can't give everything away."

Psaki: Comer was a little slow to move forward with the subpoenas, at least in my view.

Moskowitz: That’s actually his regular speed. He’s just a little slow in general.

We at Louisville Public Media just lost $376,000 due to Congress passing the rescission bill last night to claw back funds from public media across America. Today we’re asking those who value our work to help make up those funds in an emergency drive so we can maintain the staff/services we provide:

Very (not) excited to see this come to Kentucky next year
NEW in Bolts: Louisiana Republicans have passed a new law that effectively eviscerates people's ability to claim their innocence and seek relief once they've been convicted.

A massive blow to the rights of people in prison in a state that's full of wrongful convictions:

I have no inside info on this at all but based on reports of who mayors have entertained in the past few years, Louisville worked hard to get one of these franchises. Alas, they seem to only go to places with existing NBA teams

My main takeaway from the NYC Dem primary is that anybody can win if they work hard. I don't always agree with DSA people but they are the hardest working part of the Democratic coalition.

Also it helps if your main opponent had to resign in disgrace after a sexual abuse scandal.

Rahm Emanuel neatly demonstrates the basic error that Democrats make when they try to step back from social issues: IT’S THE REPUBLICANS, NOT THEM, who are “talking about bathrooms and locker rooms.”

You can’t fix this by changing the topic, only by defending your ideas and going on offense.

It'll be a decade or more before we'll get a good estimate about how many deaths occurred because of the destruction of US AID but when it's all figured out I expect Elon Musk to rival Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot etc in the ratio of total deaths caused to total days in power.

Trump's education cuts steal $2,000 from EVERY Kentucky student — and even more from our vulnerable children.

His administration punishes children in poverty, with disabilities, and experiencing homelessness the hardest.

Don't let the KY GOP lead you to believe they care about Kentucky's kids.
As Trump cuts federal funds, here's which Kentucky school districts could be hit hardest
Federal funding makes up anywhere from 2% to 35% of per student spending at school districts across Kentucky.
