“Kentucky will never reach its potential if our children’s ZIP code determines their place in the world by the first day of kindergarten. The time for pre-K is now.” - Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman

Couldn't agree more! 👏
Some good news this Friday.

Thank you Gov. @andybeshearky.bsky.social and Team Kentucky for working extra hard to process these benefits so Kentuckians have enough food on the table.
Great news, Kentucky – we’ve finally received the go-ahead to fully fund SNAP benefits for Kentuckians who rely on this assistance. Once again, our team will work through the night tonight, with the hope our families can see those benefits hit cards tomorrow. 1/2

This is not normal. This is the direct result of Republican inaction on the health care crisis.

I'm tired of Congress pretending we're powerless to fix this.

No wonder he doesn’t want to release the files.

Yesterday, House Republicans finally returned to DC from their 8-week vacation.

And what did they do?

They voted to rip away health care from thousands of Kentuckians. Our tax dollars are paying them to destroy our health care while they get the best and most expensive coverage for life.

Gov. @andybeshearky.bsky.social leads with his faith and treats everyone with respect. Kentucky is blessed to have a governor rooted in decency and kindness.

Local office candidate filing is open across the Commonwealth. Running for office might seem daunting, but your neighbors need representatives who share their values.

We can help you navigate the process. Kentucky needs more Democratic leaders in office.

First bourbon exports tanked. Then Trump's tariffs crushed soybean sales. Now Republicans want to destroy the hemp industry that employs 3,500 Kentuckians.

How much more can our farmers take?

Kim Davis thought she was above the law. She wasn't. She refused to do her job, went to jail, lost her election, owes $360,000, and just got rejected by the Supreme Court. That's what happens when you use government power to discriminate

Sorry Kim Davis. Love still wins!

Veterans kept their promise to defend America. In return, the Trump administration has abandoned them with policies that are as cruel as they are shameful.

Since 1996, members of the Shawnee American Legion Post 196 have gathered on Veterans Day to remember all who gave their lives so that we can live in peace.

I was humbled and honored to stand with them today.

As Kentuckians – and as Americans – we must continually give thanks to our veterans for their bravery, selflessness and dedication to our great country. This Veteran's Day, let's recommit to the hard work of being worthy of their sacrifices, which sustain us.

To Kentucky's veterans: Thank you for your service and sacrifice. Democrats will always fight to ensure you receive the benefits you've earned, the healthcare you deserve, and the respect you're owed.

Happy Veterans Day.

To our county parties who participated in our Charitable Day of Action this past weekend and to those with food drives in the coming weeks, THANK YOU. You give us hope.

We collected thousands of pounds of food so Kentuckians will have enough to eat. Thank you to every volunteer made this happen.

ICYMI: Kentucky Democrats Fight GOP Hunger Crisis on Statewide Charitable Day of Action
November 10, 2025 at 9:40 PM
SNAP needs to be funded now.
It's been 10 days since Trump let SNAP funding expire.

He could feed our kids, seniors, and veterans today — instead, he's begging SCOTUS to let him keep starving Americans.

Food should never be used as a weapon. Hungry kids are not political leverage. Fund SNAP now.

For 250 years, Marines have protected our freedoms. Kentucky is proud to be home to thousands of Marine veterans who continue serving their communities.

Republicans caused the longest shutdown ever to avoid giving people affordable healthcare.

And then Trump literally sued for the right to starve Americans.

This is not the time to cave. It’s a time to fight back.

As this vote moves to the House, I stand with Democratic leadership as they refuse to rubber stamp the full-scale Republican assault on Americans’ health care and I am proud of the majority of Senate Democrats who opposed this vote.

Today we said goodbye to one of Kentucky's greatest leaders: former Gov. Martha Layne Collins. She transformed our state for the better and helped create a pathway for our families to live better lives. Her legacy will never be forgotten. On behalf of the commonwealth: thank you, Gov. Collins.
