Random but a common praise I have for certain GM vehicles is just how brightly illuminated their interiors get at night.

It drives me nuts when you activate all the dome lights and it's still a cave of darkness.

This is especially a win for family haulers like Buick's 2025 Enclave Avenir.

More blue interiors, please. I think Buick's latest Enclave (2025 Avenir here) offers a pretty good balance between physical switchgear and on-screen controls. It's not the best, but it fairly good. Toggles for HVAC, buttons on the steering wheel, and I do like the small rotary dial for volume.

A day late, but now that the embargo's lifted heres a link to my thoughts on what it was like to drive Hyundai's new 2026 Palisade Hybrid for a few hours in Texas hill country last week.

TLDR- Hyundai's got an easy winner amongst family vehicle shoppers. Enjoy!

Gordon Lightfoot's song sounds just a bit more chilling this year, as it's been 50 years since the Edmund Fitzgerald went down. I think what's so intriguing about this sinking is that the exact reason still remains a mystery.
