If there's anything AI has done for me this year, it's awakened a hunger for person-to-person connection. Hanging out with a baby, going to see live theatre, eating food someone made, appreciating art from 200 years ago, from 800 years ago, from 10,000 years ago... Human creation is so wonderful.

Writers who use genAI for illustrations are class traitors. We all have to fight this beast TOGETHER. We are not just trying to save SOME of our livelihoods.
Self-published authors are unfortunately very rapidly becoming my most-blocked demographic on here due entirely to the rampant use of hideous AI generated book covers

i’ll be so real there are a lot of incredibly miserable people on this site and tbh i do think that not everything needs some scathing discourse attached to it. we have got to rediscover the concept of enjoyment or else we’ll wither.
