Trump has pulled the security of former government officials we know are under threat simply because he doesn't like them. And he's done it at the same time as released a load of very angry, very violent, likely highly armed individuals who are loyal to him.

It is dark stuff.

Trump now making a series of rambling remarks to young staffers and guests. Stumbling from topic to topic. Not entirely clear what the aim of the speech is. Mainly talking about all of the things he didn't include in the main speech but wishes he did.

In July, I FOI'd the Home Office for the full breakdown of spending on the Rwanda scheme

I was refused because the government planned to publish the data in future, and today is the day. These numbers are in millions

Four now confirmed dead in this strike, two of them World Central Kitchen aid workers
World Central Kitchen volunteers have been hit again, by an #Israel’i airstrike in #Gaza today. One of the only orgs successfully getting food to thousands of starving Palestinians is now pausing ops while they investigate what happened & figure out how to protect their staff under these conditions.

FIFA have given the Saudi bid for 2034 the same 4.1/5 score for its stadiums - despite eight not yet built - as they gave to the Canada-Mexico-USA bid for 2026, all of which are built, many of which are world leading NFL stadia.

I mean, how?

And just like that, Donald Trump gets away with his insurrection. Something that would have never happened in any other democratic country on earth. Astonishing.

New data on farms and inheritance tax: a third of farm estates over £1.5m aren’t farmers but wealthy people avoiding IHT by sinking money into farmland.

The Budget hits farmers too hard and tax avoiders too lightly. It needs to change.
