My knee jerk reaction… An overly complicated, yet vaguely defined, proposal that will cause confusion without solving the actual problem. Rewards players who already have commercial income while keeping the other 90% in relative poverty. Well done.

If you are getting married soon and on the fence about changing your name, my vote is for keeping your maiden name! Not because of the risk of divorce (though there’s that too), but because it’s a PITA with no tangible benefit. Change it socially but not legally, if you want.

I’m reminded of an interview question for my 2nd job after college. Was asked if I regretted my GPA wasn’t higher. Responded no, but wish I’d taken advantage of the time to actually learn more.

I expect I’m in the minority but I’m anti-playoff for leagues with a balanced schedule. Playing every team twice over months is the true test, not 3 elimination games in a post season tournament. KC was the best team by far but won’t be “champion”. The tournament is what should be the consolation.
What a season for KC — won 21 of 26 to finish 21 points ahead of 2nd place. Goal difference +36. Conceded less than 12. Undefeated at home. But the playoffs are the true test and they fall at the first hurdle. The Shield scant consolation for a team who yearned to win it all.
