How many times do we need to point this out?
By appeasing the far right, you do not weaken it. You strengthen it.
While weakening your own position.
There's a vast amount of academic research showing this.
But Labour will not listen.

Starmer’s anti-asylum policies show how utterly clueless he is about the right-wing media’s role in politics.

He’s trying to fix a “problem” contrived by Farage, GB News and The Telegraph. He’ll never win, because ultimately he’s fighting a ghost – he’s fighting something that doesn’t really exist

Whatever you do, don't ask it: "How many wars has Trump ended since taking office in 2025?"

Truth Search AI: "None. There is no verified instance of President Trump formally ending a war since taking office in January 2025."

If Labour are willing to bin their manifesto pledges on tax rises, why not on Brexit?

That would win them far, far more votes than raising taxes ever will. Indeed, tax rises are likely to crater their weak support even further.

What's so magical about Brexit that it must remain untouchable?

If you think that black and brown faces in advertising is linked to "legitimate concerns" about mass migration, it does suggest that you think that all black and brown people are foreigners. Which, for a party whose current leader is black and whose previous leader was brown, is quite something.

I used to defend the BBC’s coverage until fairly recently. Election night 2024 was probably the point at which I snapped and could no longer avoid facing what it had become.
Nothing on the BBC Radio news this morning. Nothing I could find on their website. This is an MP from the party whose lead in the opinion polls normally ensures them wall-to-wall coverage. She spouts racist nonsense for which even she feels obliged to apologise. What on earth are they playing at?

Can Keir Starmer not see that by endlessly talking about immigration all he is doing is making Nigel Farage stronger?

Does he not understand that numbers and actions are completely irrelevant and it is simply about fear, which he is fuelling?

Makes sense that Tories worried about Reform outflanking on their right. Farage is worried about being outflanked on HIS right

But a labour centre left govt should NOT care - let the RW get more crazy and grab the huge centre ground.

Every day they find new ways to punch down.

And it's likely not going to win them a single vote. Anyone with a Reform mindset will vote Reform. Everyone else is appalled.

When was the last time the Greens (with four MPs) or the Lib Dems (with 72) were given the same?

I don’t care at all where he fits in, he dribbles, shoots and scores cracking goals. Plus he’s an Arsenal fan.

Someone else who knows a lot more about it than I do can worry about the rest.
I've sat through 18 months of analysis about how Arsenal lack freestylers, mavericks. Obviously it has some merit but I can't put myself in the headspace about where Eze plays.

He will play because he's a good player who offers Arsenal things they don't have. And he's fun. Football should be fun.

The Government says it would cost £100bn to bring water into public hands. That figure's based on a report paid for by the water companies which Dieter Helm has called 'economically illiterate'.

Public ownership of water makes most sense.
