@benedicttown.bsky.social loved your podcast. Well written, researched and presented. Only negative was the amount of ads global stuffed into it and repeated in the first half of the series.

Other than that, loved it. Can't wait for your next project.

Kemi Badenoch enjoyed a £14,000 week-long “residential”...courtesy of the Tory donor Neil Record, who chairs a climate sceptic lobby group.

The trip took place about a month before Badenoch U-turned on the party’s commitment to achieving net zero by 2050.

Worth noting that McConnell refusing to whip votes to convict Trump at his impeachment trial (or vote himself to convict) is *why* we’re in this position right now. If McConnell is looking for the person at fault, he might want to consult a mirror.
Mitch McConnell: “We’re in a very, very dangerous world right now, reminiscent of before world war two,” he says. “Even the slogan is the same. ‘America First.’ That was what they said in the ’30s.”

I'm indebted to The Telegraph for reminding me about that time in 2022 when Labour gave unfunded tax breaks to the rich in a mini budget that tanked the economy, crashed the pound and massively increased interest rates.

Says a lot that about 90% of the traffic I’m seeing on X right now is absolutely convinced the British govt is about to embark on a mass programme of state murder of the elderly and vulnerable. What was until recently the town square of politics has become the preserve of the bad, mad and deranged.

Jeremy Clarkson, who owes his fame & fortune in large part to the BBC, sneers at the brilliant @vicderbyshire.bsky.social for being ‘classic BBC’ when she uses *his own words* to describe his position.
“So it’s not about you, it’s not about your farm and the fact you bought a farm to avoid inheritance tax?”

@vicderbyshire.bsky.social speaks to Jeremy Clarkson at the farmers’ protest in Westminster where thousands of farmers are protesting the government’s inheritance tax plans.
