I wonder if many others are concerned about the NHS reliance on Microsoft? - with 'cost saving', we don't have desktop apps anymore, so saving and using files outside of 365 is increasingly challenging.... doesn't this feels like a much safer and more sustainable option?
Denmark’s Ministry of Digital Government is phasing out its use of Microsoft Office.. to switch to open source alternatives like LibreOffice instead.

Why? Because relying too heavily on a US tech giant for your nation’s digital infrastructure is starting to feel a bit... well, risky.

EM types.... Does anyone have any good resources on informal performance management, eg shop floor performance management by SpR/Cons leading shift as opposed to in an Educational Supervisor role?

“The pressures in accident-and-emergency units are as bad as during the Covid pandemic, NHS bosses say.”
Although, of course, it still is the pandemic.

You too will be a patient one day.

Remember that.

With every word you speak, every look you give and every standard you accept, remember that.

It still astonishes me that more people in politics and our media pretend to be concerned about kids having missed school than kids having been killed or sickened by Covid.

Headlines are warning of a 'quad-demic' about the hit the NHS, but data show that a 'quad-demic' is v unlikely.

The worry is not that the NHS is about to be hit by unprecedented demand, but that it is unable to cope with normal demand.

I've written about it here

Is the NHS facing a 'quad-demic' this winter?
No, but it is finding it harder and harder to cope with 'normal' winter pressures. Plus flu might still have a nasty kicker in store this winter.
