Carl Sagan says something very important, a strong message that didn't lose any validity since then.

Click that photo of the capitol building (Denver, CO). A progressive political agenda that centers empathy -- care for people in our community and the planet - is the way to win and fight back against the cruelty of fascism.
Tonight an unbelievable **34,000 people** gathered for our Denver rally to take on billionaires and win our country back.

This was the largest political gathering in Denver since Obama in 2008.

Also bigger than the 2024 DNC.

And the largest ever rally in Bernie’s career (and obviously, mine too).

Musk doesn't get how nonviolent protest works. Why are we Troublemakers? Because as Rep. John Lewis, RIP, knew: in hard times, good trouble is ESSENTIAL to all that we love.

When the world is at risk, when democracy is at risk, we're either troublemakers—or collaborators.

So: who's a Troublemaker?

"...we human beings do as well. If each ant refused to trust and care for others, all of them would soon die. It is the same with us human beings sharing life on planet Earth. We flourish when we work for the common good; we destroy each other when we think only of our own benefit." The Dalai Lama

"I believe that survival of the most cooperative overrides survival of the fittest. Unbounded self-concern and competition lead to destruction, whereas caring and cooperating with one another lead to the benefit of all. Ants and bees survive because they cooperate and care for one another;

Cognitive dissonance, indeed.

#Cruise 🛳️😷🤡fans don't give a shit. #cruisenews #pollution #over-tourism
The cognitive dissonance of boomer cruise passengers riding these diesel guzzling behemoths all the way to Juneau and booking dozens of helicopter tours a day to see the last of the glaciers before they disappear because of climate change is honestly infuriating.

While your ire is focused on the Criminal in Chief, don't forget how sophisticated phishing has become. Phone call from "Fraud Department" at bank using the bank's spoofed phone # alerting me to fraud was actually a phishing scheme for personal info.

I had my mid life crisis at 28. I ran away to a cabin on the ocean, far from the urban rat race, but the trauma of bearing witness to a culture of killing - each other, the planet - hit me hard one day. All the tears of the world welled up inside me. My heart was crushed. And then....

I visited the Hopi reservation in 1989. They told me that every morning they pray for the sun to rise. As long as there are Hopi people still praying for the sun to rise, it will. I don't take that message literally, just to mean that by the power of their practice, this world will stay in balance.

I am happy that so many of my friends are marking themselves safe from the recent storm. Though prompted to do likewise, I am still not safe from the violent storms of the unenlightened mind that keeps me revolving through endless lifetimes in samsara. Therefore, I must renounce these inner demons.
