New investigation: how Sky Bet relocated to Malta to avoid £55m of tax/year This kind of tax planning is often reported as "clever, but perfectly proper, and there's no suggestion that any laws were broken".

But here it looks improper. Laws may have been broken.

This is what happens when the Centre Left follow far right policies on immigration. Is Labour watching? Those Danish immigration policies still looking attractive?
Danish Social democrats suffered a massive defeat in Copenhagen last night. They incurred similar defeats across the country and there will be a general election in the next year. In Copenhagen the far-left Enhedslisten (the unity list) won the most mandates followed by the socialist people's party.

Sometimes, a front page can sum up quite a lot that’s wrong with the world. Including the paper itself which has been so complicit in getting us to a place where children born to refugees could be deported, Trump celebrates despotic wealth and Boris Johnson’s sister moans about not being rich. Ugh.

Hasn't Starmer resigned yet? With the majority of Labour members in dissaray, no canvassing, no campaigning, signs are the Party has collapsed. MPs are ready to call a leadership challenge. Starmer knows the left will no longer rally round. His new Home Sec's callousness is provoking outrage.

What a shocking waste of opportunity this government has proved to be.
It has squandered its time and attention on ridiculous fiscal rules, persecuting refugees and trashing ecosystems in the name of growth, while failing to deliver what we so desperately want.

What Zack actually said was Putin giving up nuclear weapons was "extremely unlikely".

But he emphasised that we should always be working towards a nuke free world and often many things seem impossible until they are achieved.

But has anyone in this Labour government ever cared about the truth?
The leader of the greens thinks he can persuade Putin to give up weapons. The leader of reform thinks he can cut public spending without cutting services. Labour risks falling into same trap in its immigration and asylum policies. To actually change the world we need less bravado and more scrutiny.

The govt's proposed new asylum laws are impractical, ineffectual, and outright cruel. Aping the rhetoric of Reform won't fix the real issues in this country; it will only stir up more false divisions and endanger already vulnerable communities.
