I am so happy you said that, I was in a vintage shop in St Annes on Sea, the owner had a large framed Hunky Dory cover on sale,I asked her about it and she said they played Kooks at her grandaughters christening. I said I love that so we started singing it together, great moment.

So much of this made me chortle!
Went to St. Annes-on-the Sea^** today for a light stroll along the seas front and lunch with my Mum.
I am now in their target age-range demographic (old and skint) and I am sat reflecting on the meaning of life.

Fascinating walk yesterday courtesy of the RNLI at St Annes. As the sea channel of the River Ribble was prone to moving they built 'training walls' to keep it straight as far out as 15 miles from Preston docks. It's a 1.5 mile walk out from St Annes at low tide and really interesting to see.

Don't you just love it when someone shows how little they know about a topic they have strong opinions on! Lytham St Annes is a navigational area. It contains two separate towns - Lytham, and St Annes on the Sea - plus the village of Ansdell. Sooooo Lytham is in Lytham St Annes. Good grief 😆

A couple of weeks after all the Christmas trees were buried on St Annes beach to encourage new sand dunes, we were back. Today was about planting Marram grass on the exposed patches to consolidate the accumulated sand.
