Rep. Delia Ramirez to DHS officials: "I have as much respect for you as I do for the last white men who put on masks to terrorize communities of color. I have no respect for the inheritors of the Klanhood and the slave patrol. Those activities were criminal and so are yours."

Put another way, we could get rid of corn ethanol, switch 30% of the freed-up farmland to solar to generate 100% of US electricity, and use the other 70% of the freed-up land for whatever we want.

Congratulations to the Seahawks! If you were wondering, the last time a city had its NFL team win a Super Bowl & its MLB team win the World Series later that year, it was the Patriots & Red Sox in 2004. The Red Sox that season were coming off a defeat in ALCS Game 7. 👀⚾️🔜‼️

My gawd. Cabrón, la historia de Puerto Rico es un reflejo de la poltica de los Estados Unidos. He literally showed you how Puerto Ricans and immigrants, people you're shitting in this exact moment, have enriched the culture.
Analysis: Weeks before he set foot on the stage, Bad Bunny’s halftime performance had already become a media event.

But if you were looking for political commentary, the closest that you got was when he said “God bless America” in English.
Analysis | Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show was expected to provoke. Did it?
The Bad Bunny Super Bowl show nodded to injustices in Puerto Rico but mostly evoked wholesome family values that meshed with the more sentimental commercials.

It had all the drama and atmosphere of a week 9 intraconference 10am game on CBS, but:

- won in 49ers house
- humiliated Boston team
- back to .500 in Super Bowl
- halftime show infuriated MAGA
- Kenneth Walker / RB fans vindicated
- my daughter notches a SB win in her first 10 months of life

This is perhaps the most accurate telling of how I feel. My early 20s identity was intermeshed with Seahawks football to an unhealthy degree. My life now is wholly unrecognizable. So this Super Bowl, to me, doesn't carry the same grip as vs Den or vs NE. And yet I will fervently watch.

#GoHawks
My life now would be unrecognizable to the me who watched the last SEA Super Bowls, and that’s definitely a factor. I’ve lived on the east coast now for longer than I lived in Seattle, and I no longer rely on this dumb team to fill in the gaps in my life the way I might have in my early 20s.

I hope Dems begin to see that moderate or progressive, AIPAC is not our friend.

They endorse January 6th insurrectionists. Yet if you so much as suggest the US uphold its own Leahy laws, no matter your record, they will work against you.

👀 Every Senate Democrat + Collins and Murkowski just voted for the Bernie Sanders amendment to repeal the $75 billion in additional ICE funding under Trump’s “big beautiful bill.” The measure failed 49-51.
