This is a staggering amount of money. It’s bigger than the Department of Transportation spending on all infrastructure. It’s bigger than all of the federal R&D done for both the military and all federal science agencies. Disgusting.

This @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social video is absolutely INCREDIBLE. The numbers he cites, the strategy and results they produced — it’s the future. When have you heard *any* campaign talk about this, ever? (Video split in 2 to fit in Bluesky’s limits)

The danger isn’t just that people believe lies. It’s that entire communities become locked into belief systems that can’t be challenged, where loyalty replaces evidence, and disagreement feels like betrayal. That doesn’t just distort truth, it breaks trust.

The conditions that have led to what’s happening in the US today exist in democracies around the world.
They are an inevitable outcome of our collective failure to adapt to fundamental changes in the information ecosystem on which our democracies were originally built.

As we gain solidarity, we feel more courageous.

As we feel courageous and stand up to Trump, we weaken him and his regime.

Research by @chenoweth.bsky.social et al, shows that when 3.5% of a population rises in opposition, change happens. TWELVE MILLION IN THE STREETS. That’s the 🎯.
The turnout in small towns across the country has been incredible drawing crowds of thousands. We’re already seeing over one million in attendance nationwide, and events are still underway. Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Ohio all had especially surprising showings.

It would take some time for this funding to really start getting off the ground but this would make ICE the highest-funded law enforcement agency in the history of the United States, and quite possibly the entire world.
NEW: GOP lawmakers are preparing reconciliation bill with $90-175 BILLION in new funding for immigration enforcement.

ICE's entire annual budget is ~$9 billion.

It is time for Democrats to go on the attack, and take away tax-exempt status for every church that unabashedly campaigned for Trump. Take off the gloves, start to destroy the opposing institutions that fund the fascist movement.
Trump says Harvard should lose tax exempt status. He’s clearly not liking the way it pushed back yesterday.
