Ten years after I first saw @rebeccaperry21.bsky.social’s Confessions of a Redheaded Coffee Shop Girl, the latest incarnation of this musical comedy about a barista with a fixation for conservationist Jane Goodall is still an excellent Fringe show. @gildedballoon.bsky.social

Edinburgh Fringe 2025
Show #12
Confessions Of A Redheaded Coffeeshop Girl
Wildcard choice. Wasn't expecting it to be great. But it was brilliant. And I'm not usually a fan of one-person shows. It stars Canadian performer Rebecca Perry. Great storyline and a superb performance.

@rebeccaperry21.bsky.social was the first performer I ever saw at the Fringe; her superb tribute to Hollywood's golden age [From Judy To Bette] was the first show I saw back in 2019. It was a no-brainer to come and see her again. A consummate performer with a superb voice and great stage presence

3) Confessions Of A Redheaded Coffeeshop Girl
@rebeccaperry21.bsky.social writes and performs this warm, witty show full of heart, as anthropology major Joanie works as a barista in Toronto while figuring out next steps and viewing her co-workers and customers through her anthropological lens.

5. CONFESSIONS OF A REDHEADED COFFEESHOP GIRL. R.Perry's remount 11 yrs after its #FringeTO '14 debut remains a strong showcase of her onstage charisma & singing chops. Perry's (barely perceptively) aged, but protagonist Joanie & show haven't; it's still set in 2013, adding a delightful retro feel.
