Kind of a big day for me, folks. I never thought my first published book would be a how-to guide for parental death, but here we are. It’s well-researched, it’s funny, and it’s officially available for pre-order: www.deadparentswhatnow.com/book
My Parents Are Dead: What Now? A Panic-Free Guide to the Practicalities of Death — My Parents Are Dead: What Now?
Pre-order the My Parents Are Dead: What Now? book! Available January 6, 2026 from Quirk Books.

Moonraker is a live action cartoon. Once people understand this, they will understand its greatness.
Moonraker has the best character in all of Bond while having one of the more mediocre plots which actually makes it the Bondest Bond film
Moonraker isn't *great*, but Drax has some Goldfinger-ish zingers. "James Bond. You appear with the tedious inevitability of an unloved season."

My dad, Dan Robison, would have been 72 years old today, had it not been for pancreatic cancer. He was a grumpy, conservative architect who loved Hallmark Channel Christmas movies and ABBA. Riddle me that. I miss him all the time.

This is so funny to me, as a Bond aficionado. Just bring him back with no explanation, it literally doesn’t matter.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

Louisville, I’d LOVE to see you come out for this one. Amy is amazing and she deserves a crowd. Plus, it’s free! What else are you doing on a Monday, anyway? See you there?? 💗

Book 58 of 2025: ALL THE LIVING AND THE DEAD by @hayleycampbell.bsky.social. There are so many more death workers than you imagine. Crime scene cleaners, bereavement midwives, mass casualty investigators, executioners. Campbell speaks with them all. It changers her, and it’ll change you, too. 📚👀

Okay, I guess my health insurance is going to be over $100 more expensive next year thanks to Democrats.

Bloomberg notes that, “Any one senator can force days of delay and votes.”

If Schumer, or any other Democratic senator, really objects to the deal being worked out right now, they can do something about it.

I’m starting not to think very highly of general contractors. One said he could repair the damage beneath my shower, tore out the floor, then said he could not repair the damage. So far every other contractor I have spoken to is allegedly too busy. My angelic neighbors are lending me their shower.

every sunday, from pulpits in megachurches across america, white evangelicals cry out about some imaginary persecution of christianity. but i can’t stop thinking about the pile of rosaries collected by a janitor at a border crossing or the priest turned away at the gates of the detention camp.

Fun facts about cryonics—aka freezing your body for future (theoretical) revival. Totally not a grift or anything. 🙄
@iwriteok.bsky.social On today’s Behind the Bastards, you asked how much it cost to freeze your head vs. your whole body when Alcor. I just wrote a newsletter about this, and it’s less than you think! $80k for head, $220k for whole body. Even less if you make them your life insurance beneficiary. 🙃

Hey guess what? This was LYME DISEASE? The test results were mixed, but it was either early Lyme or a false positive, and they decided not to wait to find out before giving me antibiotics. The worst part is that ChatGPT was right. 🙃
Hey guess what? This wasn’t shingles. It’s getting bigger. The doctors are stumped—running some blood tests. But I’m a little worried about their diagnostic abilities given that my doctor ASKED CHATGPT!! Right in front of me!!
I’ve had this weird rash with no pain or itching for WEEKS, so I finally decided to get it looked at via telehealth. And apparently I have a mild case of shingles?!?!

This is horrifying -- I started following this guy who walks through AI video and "tells" / sometimes best practices. It doesn't mean I can tell necessarily, but it did help me stop assuming things and actually go check stuff: www.instagram.com/showtoolsai/
This person is one hundred percent correct and it’s scary af. We will never “media literacy” our way out of this as a society. We are about to reap the whirlwind when it comes to misinformation, disinformation, and informational warfare.
