There’s a regular customer who always comes in and talks hockey with me. I had to resist the urge to ask him what he thinks of “Heated Rivalry” because despite all the inclusion initiatives, hockey is still one of the most conservative professional sports, and so are many of the fans.

No windows. A master room that’s also a porch. A tiny 4th bedroom with a sink in it. A mud room/laundry room with two bathtubs in it. A gallery halll. 11 sinks!
This floor plan is so chaotic that I’m positive the architects’ jobs will be safe.
Oh shit waddup

There's someone arguing with me on Tiktok about whether or not the Oz books were written for children. They think they weren't because "most children couldn't read or afford books in the 1900's" and I am now taking to the bottle. Because this is not a bot.

I'm watching “Pretty Baby” the documentary about Brooke Shields, and I keep either audibly gasping, or saying “ew!” because people were so creepy and weird towards her as a CHILD. A court once ruled that n*de photos taken of her at age 9 could be released to the public.
I beg your finest pardon?!

I just read an essay so bad that I thought a middle schooler wrote it. This young person believes they deserve a better mark than 0 for an essay with no introductory statement, no thesis, no citations, no attributions, and several contradictions. (Theyll probably get their way, but they shouldn't.)

That looks inedible.

Joie de livres and Courage My Love are two of my favourite names for stores. I’ve only been to one of them (Courage My Love in Kensington) and it’s excellent.

Much of my reading of hockey romances is just me failing to suspend my disbelief and enjoy the story. I feel like I’m being nitpicky, but understanding the culture you’re writing about is important and some writers just don’t.
COLOR me shocked that I reinstalled my Crave subscription just in time to watch the adaptation of one of the handful of hockey romance books that I read and genuinely enjoyed.

I had Canada in my bio for over a decade on the other site because that's where I currently am/live.
Tell me why they removed it on Friday? 😂

Can Roots start designing the Canada Olympic team uniforms again?
I'm tired of this.

They do know that makes it even worse, right?

RIGHT?

I like it here on Bluesky, but the bad place is still where you go when you want to see people read someone to absolute filth.

What a terrible time to be able to read and understand text.
Mark Epstein asked his brother Jeffrey Epstein whether Steve Bannon could confirm if Putin has “the photo of Trump blowing Bubba. Jeffrey Epstein: "I thought I had tsuris,” using the Yiddish term for troubles. #OpDeathEaters

My workplace gives out covid rapid tests. I always know when there’s a new wave of infections because people start calling to see if we have them.

I really should stop trying out things that are a bit pricey to see if I like them. Paula’s Choice retinol costs $91 here, but it’s the best one I’ve tried so far.

Horrendous.
Also?

The deputy US marshal is also a TikTok streamer? And he’s the one who is charged with assault? Or is the ICE agent who shot him charged?

The headline is not well written. On the upside, I will have to read the article for context, which is probably the point.

4 and then 3 look the most expensive to me.
1 looks the least expensive.
2 is the best value because it's most likely to be affordable for a lot of people.
Here are four overcoats.

— Which do you think is the most expensive?
— Which do you think is the least expensive?
— Which do you think provides the best value?

Answer below. Tomorrow, I will show what you get as you climb up the price ladder for overcoats.
