True. (I’m posting this from an iPhone, but I’m not a member of the Apple cult. The products work fine. I’ve even used a loudly applauded MacBook, but for me it wasn’t any better than a PC apart from its lack of Microsoft bloatware and the phone is just okay)

And I didn’t even mention the great room with double sinks, a combination family room guest room with no walls…and more sinks. Everything is wrong. lol!

Where have they been the last 20+ years? This was a thing in the early 00s.

Omg, y'all do this too?! It's my favourite movie/tv snack, and I only discovered it because I was carrying too much one time and randomly dumped them into my popcorn. 30+ years later, it's my go-to.

I use the same hand sanitizer! Lol. I have the same problem with my work bag.

Truly. Paying more for less! It's terrible.

The biggest mistakes they made with Kindred were threefold. 1. Not making them a married couple. The reason certain plot points hit so hard in the past is because of couple’s shared history in the present. 2. Setting it in modern day. 3. How dumb they made Dana. She was more resourceful in the book.

I read the book about a year ago and enjoyed it a lot. The show has the same vibe, and the actors they chose for the the leads are perfect. The stuff they changed isn't so drastic that it detracts from the plot. As both a hockey fan and a romance fan, it gets my seal of approval.

10000% I’m still mad about what they did to “Kindred” by Octavia Butler. So many bad decisions made on that show.

It's so good! And pretty faithful to the book, which I like.

Update: I like the show. It does a good job of capturing the culture of hockey because the showrunner knows ball. I couldn't help but smile at the *ahem* parallells between the characters and real players, but I’d stop short of saying they're the inspiration. Both are a composite of many players imo

It's such a beautiful place. (I'm using present tense because despite the violence and destruction brought against it, it remains beautiful because of the souls that still inhabit it.) I pray they'll get to live there again freely in my lifetime. 🙏🏾

I would go if I lived close, and I famously don't go anywhere.

My local library carries Taran’s book. It does not carry the other one. Case closed.
