I’m not entirely sure y10s lesson on the later war years for ordinary Germans NEEDED reference to the v-2 rocket programme, the fuel capacity of the P-51D Mustang, and the brief presidency of Karl Donitz, but I had a great time and that’s probably the most important thing.

Genuinely surprised, given the pilot announced today, how many schools still do results days fully in person. We went online, via school email, years ago!

(We ring every student about an hour later, triaged as appropriate, and invite those who wish to come in for ice cream etc around lunch)

This shows a fundamental misunderstanding of why homework is done.
Doing the homework, thinking, should support learning.

This seems to suggest the purpose of homwork is just to generate the work. A culture of doing, not learning.
