New AP-NORC poll:

– 25% of Hispanic adults have a favorable view of Trump, down from 44% in January
– It's Trump's lowest favorability with Hispanic voters since 2019.
– "About two-thirds of Hispanic adults under age 45 and Hispanic men now view Trump unfavorably."

I'm so glad they covered transitionary inflation under Biden the same way.

*puts finger to ear*

Oh, I'm actually hearing they didn't and it was a daily meltdown in the press.
The media’s apparent normalization of 3% annual inflation is wild. The framing is problematic considering the average household will spend almost $2500 more a year for the same goods and services at this rate of inflation. How can this being sold as normal? www.cnn.com/2025/10/24/e...

What Democrats really need to do is be a heterogeneous big tent party by picking candidates who fit the races in which they're running. In AOC's district that means AOC. In moderate Virginia, that means moderate Abigail Spanberger. The era of purity tests from the left needs to be over.

DOJ blames Trump quite directly for the January 6 riot.

When he addressed his supporters that day, he "knew that he had only one last hope to prevent Biden's certification as President: the large and angry crowd standing in front of him."

So he delivered a speech "designed to inflame" them.

Venezuela shows how authoritarians are hard to dislodge once they've accumulated enough power to rig elections.
Authoritarian states often still go through the motions of elections, but they aren't free and fair. Block votes, manipulate counts, lie.
Best chance to stop them is before they get power.

"The basic problem with the conservative discourse around “parents’ rights” is that it frames children as chattel—that is, as parents’ property. But children aren’t property. They’re people. And as people, they enjoy the same fundamental human rights as anyone else."
There's no such thing as 'parents' rights'
Parents have a right to raise their children in accordance with their own values, but they don't have the right to override their children’s own rights.

This is why I think the panic regarding Biden’s approval numbers is a bit overblown. Both candidates are unpopular but the electorate (outside of Republican voters) dislike Trump more than Biden.

This is also a consistent trend in U.S. presidential elections now (two unpopular candidates).
People who view both Trump and Biden unfavorably (which is a lot) are more likely to say they plan to vote for Biden. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...
