I haven’t followed the Epstein thing all that closely up until now, but I’m struck by the fact that I’ve never heard Trump say how horrific this was for those girls, how ashamed he is that he spent so much time with an abuser, and how he will direct the DOJ to focus on the abuse of girls and women.

If I didn't know better I'd think that "efficiency" was never the point in the first place, and in fact hamstringing government so it can't carry out its functions is not a bug but a feature.
