I'm not challenging the numbers but the obvious question is: why does Trump get so much credibility in the minds of the electorate? "Because rightwing media", IMHO, doesn't explain the entire gap. I believe media bubbles are a mechanism more than a motivation.
Over and again we find voting for Harris vs not was a matter not of attraction to the right but rather disbelief he is who he is and will do what he says:

We shouldn’t accept that a CEO killer must get a national manhunt when cops don’t solve most murders at all. A migrant teenager was just murdered in NYC, cops just killed a guy here — the lives of these other people are worth just as much as that CEO.

There's basically been no major technological innovation in the last 3 decades. It's the illusion of progress. All of it is based on key discoveries from decades ago. Even AI is based on papers developed in the 80s. We're stagnating and the consequences will be dire for an endless growth paradigm.

The time to grieve is now not after the inauguration. we are the only people coming to save us. The institutions failed. The Democrats have shown they will capitulate in order to maintain their own power and there is no one coming. If we want to survive we have to sit with that hard reality and work
I say this with love and empathy to Dee and a lot of other folks on here:
The cavalry is not coming.
The closest thing to a cavalry there is, is us.
Trump is going to be president. Dems will not stand up to him without our militant pressure.
There is hope, but we have to be our own saviors.

I need some kind of hope to survive. I know this country will be unrecognizable after 4 years of these treacherous monsters, but I will hold out hope that reason will step in before inauguration. Hope that a recount is happening. Hope that the real law will step up and save this country. 🤷♀️ Hope 🙏
