As far as I can tell, the number of active-duty military who have publicly said they'll refuse an illegal order is ZERO.

The correct thing to do is to make every Senate Democrat beg for mercy. They’re all guilty. If not for this vote, then for letting Schumer remain leader after the previous nonsense in March.
I mean they do fear the base, which is why people who are not in the immediate line of fire didn't vote for this. They just don't think there's a large splash zone for that rage or that it will last until they're on the block

Remember that if Republicans had spent any time at all this year working on budget bills that were due October 1, they could have passed them using reconciliation with zero votes from Democrats.
They created the shutdown crisis because they were staying away from work, over the Epstein files.

What all the little politics nerds get wrong isn't even a clear moderate vs progressives thing—it's that they're totally out of touch on the high-information vs low-information axis.

It's bizarre to watch reruns of cop/law shows from several years ago, now that we're living in an age where every cop, DA, and judge is either on the take or under indictment by the corrupt system.
