Please please please document anyone doing anything violent. I fear that people like the Patriot Prayer folks are going to show up for this. They have to fabricate violence to make it seem violent. We cannot let them have any excuse to inactive the insurrection act.

The governor of Utah saying that he prayed for the shooter to be what he perceives as an "enemy" should be very telling to all of us. As far off the rails as we have gone, as far from okay as this country is, as broken and unacceptable as we are as a society should be a wakeup call.

I firmly believe that protests have zero effect, but violence isn't the solution. Education and voting are. That being said: maybe now we'll get common sense gun laws.

I love to show up every day for my job, which is standing around holding the front of my tactical vest and getting told to choke to death by thousands of passers-by while 11 of my coworkers handcuff a roofer on his way to work. Every night I drive 80 minutes home, thinking about nothing at all.
