I’m still struggling with the fact that ICE “brown shirts” went to a taco shop and thought they would get served.

Back in April, ProPublica interviewed flight crew from GlobalX, another ICE airline.

“They never taught us anything regarding the immigration flights,” one said. “They didn’t tell us these people were going to be shackled...”

Is this a disaster waiting to happen?

The relentlessly opportunistic Marjorie Taylor Greene hasn't had a change of heart, much less politics. She is just literate enough to read the writing on the wall. She knows that Trump is damaged goods now. So she may have taken to singing like a bird, but she's really just a canary in a coal mine.

You don’t often find anything radical about housing policy in Forbes, but this is it.

When Classical Money Arrives Again, Housing Will Be Affordable For All
Forget the Boomers, Reagan, all the rest. The reason house prices are high is because the U.S. went off the gold standard. Buy and sell accordingly.

The use of terror is not a byproduct of Trumpian politics: it is central to how he governs.
(Politico) - An Indiana Senate Republican who President Donald Trump called out in a Truth Social post Sunday for not backing the White House’s plan to draw new congressional maps was later targeted by a swatting, according to local authorities.

Robert Reich: When Massachusetts passed a "millionaires tax" in 2023, conservatives claimed the rich would flee. But two years later, they haven't — and MA has collected $5.7B for infrastructure and public education. A reminder that positive change can still happen at the state level.

The mainstream corporate media and the Republican Party are complicit in creating a perpetual "Weekend at Donny's" as part of their Eternal Political Summer. They have to pretend Trump is fit for office and whitewash his dementia and abuses so they can continue using the Orange Dotard to make money.
